WO <br />the Poundkeeper $11.00 for any deceased animal brought <br />in. The City will not pay the Poundkeeper any <br />impounding fees. If a dog must be kept in isolation the <br />fee per dal, shalt he S7.00. For a cat kept in <br />isolation, the fee shall be $6.00 per day. <br />B. The Poundkeeper shall be authorized to collect <br />fees for violations of animal ordinances and to <br />issue dog licenses for and on behalf of the City. <br />All fees and fines collected shall be remitted <br />to the City with the monthly statement described <br />in paragraph 12, together with any records or <br />certifications which may be requested by the <br />City of Mounds View. The issuance of all <br />licenses and collection of fines described in this <br />paragraph shall be limited to written authority of the <br />City of Mounds View and governed by written instructions <br />of the City of Mounds View. The City shall indemnify, <br />hold harmless, and defend the Poundkeeper from all <br />claims, demands, damages, costs or judgements caused by <br />or arising out of the negligence of the City, its <br />officers, agents, or employees in the performance of its <br />duties under this paragraph 8, and shall indemnify, hold <br />harmless and defend the Poundkeeper in all claims, <br />' demands, damages, costs or judgements caused by or <br />arising out of the collection of fines or issuance <br />of licenses by Poundkeeper, provided Poundkeeper <br />exercises reasonable care and good faith and is <br />acting under the instructions of the City <br />providing further that the limit,,;nf the Citv's <br />liability under this paragraph 8 shall not exceed <br />the limits of the City's applicable liability <br />insurance or the limitations of liability provided <br />by Minnesota Statutes, Section 466.04, whichever <br />is greater. <br />9. The Poundkeeper shall not release any impounded <br />animal until the necessary fees have been paid. <br />For any unlicensed dog brought into the <br />custody of the Poundkeeper, such dog shall not be <br />released until a license for the animal has been <br />obtained by the owner. Nor shall any dog be <br />released until proof of a current rabies shot is <br />shown or until vaccine for rabies has been <br />administered to the animal. <br />10. In addition to the per day boarding fee, and <br />fees paid to destroy animals, the City shall pay <br />to the Poundkeeper the sum of $75.00 per month <br />in administrative fees and expenses to the Pound - <br />keeper. <br />
