MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL / <br />FROM: CLERK-ADMINISTRATO <br />DATE: DECEMBER 6, 1989 <br />SUBJECT: FAX MACHINES <br />As you know the 1990 Budget contains funds for the purpose <br />of purchasing fax machines for the City Administrative <br />offices and police Department. Members of the clerical <br />staff from the Police Department and Administrative offices <br />have solicited proposals from various suppliers of far. <br />machines including the following brand names: Versa Link, <br />AT&T, Panafax, Adler and Mita. Based upon a review of the <br />bids and sales brochures the staff members had two of the <br />machines demonstrated to them and, after these demonstra- <br />tions, it was their determination that the City should <br />purchase two AT&T 3520 fax machines from Fax Tech, Inc. at <br />cost of 52,238 which includes shipping and handling. <br />Attached is a memorandum from Administrative Secretary <br />Michele Severson communicating that recommendation to me. <br />In order that these machines be ordered and delivered as <br />soon after the first of the year as possible, staff would <br />request that the Council approve the purchase of these <br />machines at this time for delivery on or after January 2, <br />1990.
