CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />SMOKING POLICY <br />In accordance with the Minnesota Clean Indoor Air Act and in an <br />effort to provide a smoke -free environment for City employees and <br />visitors, designated smoking and non-smoking areas have been <br />established. <br />"Smoking Permitted Areas": <br />City Hall Entrance and Lobby <br />City Hall Ground Floor Restrooms <br />Kitchen Areas <br />Police and Public Works Garages <br />Police Squad Room <br />Police and Public Works Garage Restrooms <br />"No Smoking Areas": <br />Stairwells <br />Hallways <br />Elevator <br />City Hall Lower Level excluding kitchen <br />Council Chambers <br />Shared and Private Offices (City Hall, Police s Public Works) <br />Warming Houses <br />NOTE: This policy does recognize that a primary reason for <br />the existence of the City is to provide service to the <br />public. During the course of conducting business a <br />member of the public may be allowed to smoke in a private <br />office if justified by the circumstances, e.g, a stress- <br />ful situation. <br />Further, the use of smokeless tobacco products will be banned in <br />all City buildings and vehicles. <br />This policy shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption <br />by the Mounds View City Council. <br />
