RESOLUTION NO. 2156 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION COMMENDING WAYNE WEFLEN FOR HIS <br />YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE <br />MOUNDS VIEW PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, Wayne Weflen has served on the Mounds View Parks and <br />Recreation Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, he provided an active leadership role in directing and <br />shaping future Parks and Recreation movement within the City of Mounds <br />view; and <br />WHEREAS, Wayne Weflen was directly Involved in the development <br />and acquisition of Silver view Park, establishment of a City-wide <br />Comprehensive Park Plan, Park Reforestation efforts, and Neighborhood <br />Park Improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, leisure recreation programs were expanded under his <br />guidance and direction; and <br />WHEREAS, improved and expanded lines Of communication and <br />cooperation were developed with School District #621 through joint <br />park/school facility development and joint powers agreement allowing <br />for increased school usage. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />ks Mr. <br />dhereby edicatedblicly serviceotoends and the CitytofnMounds VieweParkseandor his Recreations of <br />movement. <br />Adopted this 26th day of January, 1987. <br />ATTEST! <br />Mayor Linke <br />Councilmember Blanchard <br />Councilmember Hankner <br />Councilmember S;uick Councilmember Wuori <br />(SEAL) Clerk -Administrator Pauley <br />
