He <br />stated he feels if the park is changed, they will <br />continue to have a water problem in the area, and <br />would have increased traffic, and would need a walk <br />entrance to the park and better lighting, and he <br />feels the park is too small for this type of <br />addition. Mr,. Foster stated they do not need a <br />parking lot there fof neighborhood residents, and <br />as far as he is concerned, other residents of the <br />City who would have to drive there And want to use <br />it could go to New Brighton or Bloomington instead, <br />and use their parks. <br />Mr. Foster asked that if the Council stays with <br />y <br />their decision on Random Park, to at least reconsider <br />the placement of the building and the need for such <br />_ -a large parking lot. - - -. <br />Charlie Crook, 5231 Skiba Drive, stated the Council had <br />told them previously that the problem in moving the <br />building from Random Park was money and asked why they <br />should spend more money now. He stated if tha Council <br />wants to make people happy, they could,find a way.' <br />Fran Mueller, 5226 Skiba Drive, stated she is against <br />the building at Random Park, but can rffer no solution. <br />' Mary Ann Wey, 5220 Skiba Drive, asked what the pipeline <br />company will think of having the building on top of the <br />_- <br />pipe. <br />itv 11 <br />Mayor Woke explained the building would not be over <br />the pipe),ne, which is closer to the street. <br />y <br />Robert Wey, 5220 Skiba Drive, stated the water flows <br />_ <br />down Long Lake Road, and if the pipeline broke again, <br />it would flow into the park. <br />Mrs. Mueller stated she is worried the pipeline company <br />will think the City is lax if they place the building <br />there. <br />Mary Jane Czech, 5214 Skiba Drive, stated she feels <br />the park is too small for th- building, and she doesn't <br />want it there. <br />Pat Crook, 5231 Skiba Drive, stated her grandchildren <br />do not like the location of the building there. <br />Mike Finstimacher, 5219 Skiba Drive, stated he had taken <br />pictures of the area during the last storm, and the water <br />was very high, and something would hava to be done about it. <br />
