Mounds View City Council August 1987 <br />Page Fivvee <br />Regular Meeting' <br />--- <br />------ <br />----- <br />Mayor Linke replied it is already planned. <br />Mr. Frits stated he lives near Hillview Park, where <br />there is a problem tgith people parking on the road <br />and dropping children off, and he asked if the Council <br />will be responbive to the needd of the people, which <br />have been expressed. <br />Mayor Links replied there is no parking lot at Hillview <br />Park, other than during the winter, and the area Mr. <br />Frits mentioned is not to be used for parking. <br />Councilmember Hankeer stated the Council had hoped to <br />be able to find the financial resouurceshtC to be used for <br />alternate plans for the building, y <br />is <br />facing severe budget cuts and the money is just: not <br />available to move the building again. She stated the <br />Council had planned to do something for the citizens _ <br />as a whole, and not just for the immediate neighborhood. <br />She stated she personally cannot support any spending <br />of money that does not exist. <br />Mr. Frits suggested the City sell the building. <br />Councilmember Hankner expressed her frustration with <br />citizens who do not want to participate in anything <br />until after the fact, if they do not lice it. She <br />�.' stated she personally tried her best to get citizen <br />input, and the Council must weigh the property rights, :3 <br />and she pointed out Random Park is City property, and z <br />it does not belong to any particular individual, norb <br />is it there for their exclusive use. - <br />Motion: Blanchard to reconsider placement of the Motion Failed <br />building. <br />The motion died for lack of a second. <br />Motion/Second: Wuori/Blanchard to approve Resoiu- 13. Approval of <br />ti.oa No. 2224, approv;ng the minor subdivision for Rslt. No. <br />William R. 2wieg, 5309 Greenfield Avenue, and waive 2224 <br />the reading. <br />5 ayes ^ 0 nays <br />Motion Carried <br />Attorney Meyers reported he had received an order 14. Report of <br />from the court for a dismissal with prejudice in Attorney <br />the Povlitzki case, and that is now considered <br />resolved. He added he has been presented with a <br />mutual release of all claims to resolve the matter <br />between the Povlitzki's and Conroy's, regarding the <br />Muldoon's property. lie added there is a quit claim <br />
