Where sufficient warrant exists for the installation of traffic <br />_ control signals on State Trunk Ilighways at their intersection. <br />will; roadways under the jurisdiction of municipalities, the <br />State will participate in the construction cost and the engineer- <br />ing and inspection cost of the instillation. An ogreement to <br />cover initial construction costs and maintenance sha11 he <br />negotiated with the muM cinalities havi^g jurisdiction of the <br />!intersecting roadway. <br />f,. At locations where the through trl:..k highway traffic lanes <br />interseu with the other roadways or pedestrian walks, the costs <br />are to he prorated as follows: <br />1. The construction cost shall he in the same ratio as the <br />number of entering legs of tilt intersection under each <br />i <br />jurisdiction bears to the total number of lets t:ntering <br />the intersection. The construction cost is defined as <br />Oc contract cost of the werl., or if tilt work is tint <br />contracted, the cost of all labor, materials, anti equipment <br />rental required to complete the work, except the cost of <br />proviuing the power supply to the controller. <br />2. The engineering and inspection cost shall be paid to the <br />State by the municiptlity in an amount equal to six percent <br />(M) of its share of the construction cost. <br />C. Where sufficient warrant exists for the installatio., of traffic <br />control signals at interchanges on the Federal Af:l System of <br />Highways within a municipality, the division of. cost may be <br />determined as listed below: <br />�•. <br />1.
