POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY WRITE-UP (Mounds View) <br />Position Title Receptionist Date: .Sept., 1987 <br />Department Administration <br />- <br />Accountable To Administrative Secretary <br />Prima y Objective of Position <br />To greet visftors and answer telephone calls, directing indivi- <br />duals to the appropriate person who, or department which, can be <br />of the most assistance to them. <br />To perform overload typing and other clerical duties and assist <br />in office operations beyond the position's primary duties as <br />requested and workload permits. <br />Maicr Areas of Accountability <br />a <br />Greets visitors to the City offices and directs them to the 1 <br />individual or department able to provide the most <br />assistance. <br />- Provide counter coverage and assists customers with <br />various requests including, but not limited to, <br />applications for permits or licenses, payment':f utility <br />bills and new utility accounts. <br />- Answers incoming telephone calls, providing assistance to 2 <br />callers whenever possible or directing them to the <br />appropriate individual or department. <br />=r <br />Sorts all incoming mail and distributes same to the proper 3 <br />individual/department promptly. <br />"=? <br />Performs overload typing of various correspondence, memos 4 <br />reports, or other documents, as requested, consistent <br />with provided instructions. <br />Assists in mailing and receipting of utility bills as 5 <br />,iirected by the Utility Accounting Clerk. <br />Maintains the l.obbv bulletin boards, information rack, front 6 <br />counter and lobby area as directed <br />- Maintains the lobby area and front counter in a neat <br />- <br />and orderly condition <br />- Arrange the Council Chambers for weekly and special <br />Council meetings and clean-up the following morning <br />- Remove all outdated notices, posters, etc. on a daily <br />basis <br />
