The League <br />opposes the requirement for smaller cities. <br />4. To the extent permitted by the state and federal Constitutions, <br />individuals who actively seek to influence the nomination, election, <br />or defeat of a candidate or ballot question through the expenditure <br />of their personal funds, or funds they solicit, should be required to <br />ma's_a reports to the same extent as corporations, associations, or <br />persons working together. <br />S. Write-in candidates should be required to report campaign <br />expenditures in the same manner as other candidates. <br />6. The League opposes campaign contribution limits for municipal <br />elections. <br />EE-3. Voting Equipment (B) <br />suit <br />Cities' investment in voting equipment should be protected. <br />Certification of equipment should be thorough and provide an <br />assurance to cities that the equipment will be usable for a long <br />period of time. <br />The League opposes state -mandated changes to election law that are of <br />no benefit to city elections, makes equipment obsolete, costly to <br />retrofit, or difficult to administer. <br />EE-4.
