PROPOSED NEW POSITIONS <br />1. Position: Public Works Director/City Engineer <br />supervisor: Clerk -Administrator <br />Duties: Responsible for the operation of the <br />City's Public Works Department (water, <br />sewer, street and park maintenance). <br />Also serves as the City Engineer <br />responsible for planning and implementing <br />all the engineering, design, construction <br />and maintenance activities of the depart- <br />ment. <br />Minimum Qualifications: <br />Bachelor's Degree in Civil <br />Engineering, Registered Civil <br />Engineer with the State of <br />Minnesota and 4 years Civil <br />Engineering experience including <br />2 years of supervisory experience. <br />Salary: Range of $35,000 to $40,00 per year. <br />2. Position: Public Works Foreman <br />Supervisor: Public Works Director/City•Engineer <br />Duties: Plans and supervises daily operations of <br />the Public Works Department (water, sewer, <br />streets and park maintenance). Schedules <br />crews and inspects projects. <br />Minimum Qualifications: <br />High school graduate, 3 years <br />experience in a Public Works or <br />related department including 1 <br />year of supervisory experience. <br />Salary: Range of $28,000 to $33,000 per year. <br />3. Position: Building Official <br />Supervisor: Public Works Director/City Engineer <br />Duties: Perform all Class I and Il building, <br />heating, mechanical, plumbing, and water <br />and sewer system inspections. Conduct plan <br />reviews, serve as Fire Inspector, <br />coordinates activities with State <br />Electrical Inspector and City Planner. <br />
