MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM., CLERK -ADMINISTRATOR <br />DATE: MARCH 27, 1987 <br />SUBJECT: INTERIM BUILDING INSPECTOR <br />Pursuant to your direction at the March 23rd Work Session, I <br />have contacted the cities in the immediate vicinity of <br />Mounds View to see if one of them would be willing to <br />provide us with inspection services between the time Brian <br />Hoffman leaves our employment and a replacement is hired. <br />On the afternoon of March 26th I attended a meeting with New <br />Brighton City Manager Hank Sinda and members of their <br />inspection staff including Mr. Ken Nelson, the city's <br />building official. The City of New Brighton has agreed to <br />provide the City of Mounds View with interim inspection <br />services in exchange for the City compensating New Brighton <br />for Mr. Nelson's time and mileage at the rate he is <br />currently paid by the City of New Brighton. <br />Should Council find this action acceptable, I would request <br />that you confirm this agreement at your April 13th meeting. <br />D!
