Pi�M <br />MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: MARY SAARION, DIRECTOR 0 <br />PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY <br />DATE: MARCH 19, 1987 <br />RE: HIRING OF BECCA UUORI AS ASSISTANT TO THE CITY FORESTER <br />Rocca Wert was employed as an assistant to the City Forester last summer, <br />1986. Richard Wriskey, City Forester, would like to hire Becca again <br />beginning April 2 at a wage of $5.25/hour. Bscca'e major responsibilities <br />will be planting flowers and preparing flower beds, unwrapping trees, <br />watering, weeding and assisting in the planting of trees. The great benefit <br />of hiring Becca back this spring and summer is that she is experienced and has <br />shown that she can carry out projecLs without daily supervision. City <br />Forester Vriskey highly reconmendo Becca as a diligent and self —motivated <br />worker. <br />The forestry budget has adequate monies in part—time salaries to cover the <br />cost of this position. <br />RECOMMENDATION: To consider the approval of the hiring of Becca Vuorl as an <br />assistant to the Forester beginning April 2 at a wage of $5.25/hour. <br />HS/el <br />4 <br />
