PROCEEDINGS OF THE PLANNING CONNISSION <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A regular meeting of the hounds View Planning Commission was called <br />to order by Chairperson Haake at 7:35 PM on January 10, 1979 at the <br />Hounds View City Hall, 2401 Kighway 10, Mounds View, Hinnesota 55112. <br />Meabera Present: <br />Chairperson Haake <br />Commission Member Blanchard <br />Commission Member Burmeister <br />Commission Member Fedor <br />Commission Member Foss <br />Commission Member Glazer <br />Commission Member Quan <br />Also Present: <br />Building and Zoning Official Rose <br />Councilmember Forsl <br />Chairperson Heake asked for any corrections to the December 13, 1978 <br />meeting minutes. <br />Mayor McCarty asked that the vording of the November 29, 1978 minutes be <br />changed regarding low income housing. He stated that he was trying to <br />a the point that frame homes, especially rental ones, it is particularly <br />d to get the owner to make repairs once they are built and occupied, <br />' n particular when they are federally funded. <br />Chairperson Haake stated that the minutes of the December 13, 1978 mre.:ng <br />were approved'as read. <br />DAILFY HCHES•- MAJOR SUBDIVISION - 7555 GROVELAND ROAD <br />Official Rose reported that the Planning Commission first reviewed the <br />request in late 1977, at which time Mr. Thorson ownea just the east half <br />of lot 9 and all of lot 8. Mr. Thorson at that time requested three <br />duplex lots which were substandard in width, and the Planning Commission <br />denied the request for rezoning and the subdivision because the lots did <br />not meet the size requirements. The City Council then reviewed the plat, <br />after Mr. Thorson stated he would purchase 32' to bring the lots closer <br />to code. The City Council tabled the reqqueat at that time since there <br />were not public improvements and set an informal meeting for February 28, <br />1978. It was resolved at that meeting that if someone wanted to develop, <br />they would provide their own services. Official Rose added that soil <br />tests were also taken at that time which founpeat at <br />great depths on <br />some of the property, and economically top• The Cy <br />Council also informed Mr. Thorson at that time that he would have to bring <br />his lots up to coder i.e., lot frontages, for approval. <br />ficial Rose reported that Mr. Thorson now has a Qurchase agreement for <br />e east half of lot 7, which would create two 100 lots fronting Silver <br />rake Road and one 198' lot. He added that Mr. Thorson has also proposed <br />a means for servicing his land for development. <br />
