April 27, 1987 <br />Mounds View City Council page Six <br />Regular Meeting <br />---------------------------------- <br />------------------------------------- <br />Councilmember Wuori stated she feels this isn't a natural <br />site, but it is a logical site, and she doesn't feel the <br />building usage would be that high, and she believes <br />Random Park would be a good location for the portable <br />classroom to he moved to. <br />I:ot.ion/second:. Rankner/Quick to set a public hearing for <br />May ll, 1987 at 7:05 PM, on the site location of the <br />portable classroom. <br />• Motion Carried <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley clarified that the notice <br />would be worded that the hearing would be a general <br />discussion on the location of the portable classroom <br />building in a City park. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he had attended an NTSB 11. Report of <br />evidentiary hearing with Clerk/Administrator Pauley y <br />on April 23, on the draft of the proposed finding <br />of fact, and all. parties were there. Fie added the <br />City introduced records showing there was a problem <br />with corrosion protection going back to 1973. <br />Reports of -- <br />Councilmember Wuori had no report. 12. Councilmember... <br />Councilmember <br />Wuori <br />Councilmember Rankrer discussed her frustrations Councilmember <br />gankner <br />with what is occurring in the Legislature at this <br />time concerning budgets and the fact that no one <br />wants their taxes to increase, but at the same time <br />they are not willing to see a cut in services. <br />She added that she hopes to see a good resident <br />participation when the Council works on the budget <br />for next year. <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. Quick <br />Councilmember Blanchard reported she had received <br />phone calls from residents regarding a helicopter <br />that was charging people for rides, operating frcm <br />the parking lot at Loose Ends, a few weekends ago, <br />and she stated that while there is not a City <br />ordinance against it, she was concerned if the City <br />would have any liability in the case of an accident. <br />Attorney Meyers explained the City would be in more <br />danger of liability if they authorized it, which they <br />do not. <br />
