Lhe issue had been addressed <br />of run-off of water from the cars as they leavo the <br />facility and go onto Highway 10, and the problems that <br />water could pose. <br />Mr. Filippi. presented the Commissioners with the data <br />available on the lighting tiny are proposing, and showed <br />the location of the lights. Ile also stated the facility <br />would have the capacity to accomodate a dryer for the <br />cars. lie explained the design of the car wash is such <br />that water will not be able to splash out, and their <br />drainage and discharge will be directed toward Silver <br />Lake Road, and not Highway 10. <br />Chairman MounLin pointed out: there is already a serious <br />traffic problem at that. intersection, and she would like <br />to see it reviewed by a traffic consultant`. She <br />advised, however, that the Planning Commission would have <br />to make a decision if they think they will. go with the <br />plan, before asking the developer to pay for Elie cost of <br />' such a study. <br />It was the concensus or the Commissioners that they were <br />concerned with the traffic situation at this site, and <br />the additional traffic the development would generate, <br />and they asked that a traffic consultant be ret.ained to <br />address the issue. <br />Mr. Filippi. explained they plan on having two entrances <br />onto the site, one on llighway 10 and one on Silver Lake <br />Road, which would allow for good flow -through of the <br />cars. <br />Commissioner Zol.lner seated she was concerned with the <br />entrance Onto Ili.yhway .10 being so close to the inter- <br />section, and if there Is anything that can be done to <br />make the intersection Netter, it should be planned for <br />now. She added that Elie existing problem is not the <br />fault of this developer, but this clevdlopment would just <br />add to it. <br />Commissioner Saunders stated he also was concerned with <br />the intersection, especially during rush hour, and the <br />bank is a large source of the traffic for that area. <br />
