a <br />(71 <br />MEMO TO: Clerk -Administrator Pauley <br />FROM: City Planner Herman <br />DATE: December 17, 1987 <br />SUBJECT: ODAS NEWTON, 8319 GROVELAND ROAD <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />Mr. Odas Newton has requested a jitional use permit for an <br />oversized accessory building which he is currently using as his <br />attached garage. He propose-, tc :unvert his garage to storaec <br />use only and build a new garage on the other side of his <br />property. The new garage will allow him to expand its capacity <br />and will shorten his driveway substantially. <br />The Planning Commission and Staff have reviewed the proposal and <br />found it to conform to City Code. Because of the unusual <br />circumstances the conditions placed upon the property have been <br />changed somewhat from the standard conditions for accessory <br />buildings. The two changes are as follows: <br />1. No driving surface shall be allowed to the building. The <br />existing driveway will be seeded for removal. <br />2. The accessory use must be maintained to provide a uniform <br />appearance with the dwelling unit. <br />These are written to ensure that the attached garage will be <br />transformed into an accessory structure rather than look like a <br />garage.
