To make this
determination, we have reviewed the following:
1. T'ie construction plan for County Road I.
2. The drainago boundary to County Road I per TKDA, the
County's consulting engineer of the County Road I project.
3. The city's topographic map to dete-mine the drainage area to
the intersection of Jackson and Grobarg.
vey the
we f ound thatfrequency stormitolCountylRoadble tI by next ndingfaystormrsewerain
the east ditch of Jackson. A
orm
catch basins h t
would need to be installed at this sewer manhole Fifteen
inch plastic pipe would then need to be extended southerly at a
0.4$ grade to Groberg Street. Catch basins would need to be
installed at both the northeast and southeast corners of the
intersection of Jackson and Groberg. Ideally, a third catch
basin would be installed
nthe sside of the street
the
intersectionnow overflowsthroughtheapbrtm3nt buildinghere parking
lot.
If a storm sewer system was installed as described, it would need
eed
to flow under a "head" in order to convey the i1VW
year +'
frequency storm. The 10.8 acre drainage area will generate about
9.4 cfs, which will require that the water in the catch basinb at
Groberg and Jackson will need to build up to within about a foot
of the surface in order to force its way Lhroug..
his should nothbe a"problemplastiC
pipe.
