MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: MARY SAARION, DIRECTOR <br />PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY <br />DATE: MARCH 3, 1988 <br />RE: GRANT -PROPOSAL <br />The attached is a grant proposal for funding from the Children's <br />Trust Fund. The.activity funding proposed is for "School's Out <br />Days", a daylong program of recreational activities especially <br />designed -for children of working parents. The City's portion of <br />matching funds are in -kind services and fees. If the grant is <br />approved,• the.program will provide opportunities for a great fun <br />day fo`r children and an option for daycare for parents who work on <br />the days that.the children have "off" from school. <br />PECOMSENDATION: To approve the grant proposal for funding by the <br />r, <br />Children_s'Trust Fund for assistance regarding "School Days Out" <br />programs. <br />_ <br />MS/sl <br />
