ENGINEERS I ARCHREC]S *PLANNERS
1,. • ^ FTA55117 6r 4E4-0272
x
TO: CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
ATTN: MARY SAARION
FROM: DAN BOXRUD
DATE: DECEMBER 10, 1987
SUBJECT: ILVER VI8
VIEW PARK
TRAIL
S
MEMORANDUM
I field checked the location where you plan to install additional
wood chip trail in Silver View Park on
hesouthwest sideue ofwthe
pond. My understanding is that you propose
northerlyltor
connect notohthe existing owood chipncrete trail westerly
fom the end Of the trailOn the
northwest corner of the pond.
t+ trail appears to have been constructed on
The existing wood chip
top of the existing ground. In certain locations, 'based
this has lot
the
potential for blocking drainage.
However, basnthat this
grades I saw west of the concrete walk, it appears
method of construction could be continued without blocking
drainage. The location of the trail would need to be carefully
picked so as to have enough cross slopthe ew owachipse won d not pond so that
the additional height created by
be
higher than the ground south of the trail. If the desired trail
routing does end up in a flatter area adjacent to the backsoil
lines, it may be desirable to dig the trail down into the top
so that the existing grade can be continued towstioard the pond.
n this
I believe this addresses Yoe gaquiren anything8efurther, you raid to meo please
proposed project.
