-6- <br />The third step is to register participants. Registrations are <br />received in person, by mail, or through a City Hall drop box. <br />The fourth step is to implement the program. <br />The fifth step will be accomplished in two segments. Evaluations _ <br />will be held for each particular activity day and another <br />evaluation encompassing the entire program. <br />EVALUATION <br />Three interactions will be used to evaluate the program. ,. <br />1. The participants will be asked to an evaluation of each day of <br />activities to ensure that the activities are enjoyed. Because <br />some of the younger children may have limited reading and writing <br />skills, the evaluation questions will be asked by a non -leader <br />staff member. Participant replies will be recorded. <br />.+;.•,;,-�. Staff .leaders will evaluate each individual program and the <br />program as a whole to document shortcomings and highlights for <br />the purpose of improvement. <br />3. Parents will be. sgnt an -evaluation form along with a stamped <br />and addressed envelope. Feedback including convenience, <br />activity selection, supervision, facilities and cost will <br />be requested. <br />. , The administrative staff will distribute, collect, survey and <br />(" document the -evaluation of the individual activity days and the <br />program as a whole. The evaluation process will determine whether <br />or not the need for school age childcare is met by this program. <br />PERSONNEL <br />The program development will be administered by the Director of the <br />Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department. This individual has over <br />18 years of youth programming and leadership experience. The indi- <br />vidual proprams'of daylong activities will be lead by an activity <br />supervisor and aides. The supervisor will be required to have a <br />minimum of five years of recreational leadership experience. The aides <br />will be required to have two years of recreational leadership <br />experience. Both the supervisor and aides are required to attend a <br />recreational leadership workshop which is held every summer through <br />the Minnesota Recreation and Park Association.
