Mounds View City Council April 14, 2025 <br />Regular Meeting Page 10 <br /> <br />Director Peterson reported this roadway was last reconstructed in 1993. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10089, <br />Awarding a Contract to Northwest Asphalt for the 2025 Street Project including all three bid <br />alternates as well as the proposals from Stantec and American Engineering Testing. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn reported the Planning Commission has not met in the last two weeks. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn stated the Mounds View Police Foundation would be holding a bake sale <br />on Wednesday, April 30 at Abiding Savior Church. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn explained the Tribute Park Committee received a presentation from a <br />consultant’s vision for the park and stated she was very pleased with the proposed plans. <br /> <br />Council Member Smith commented she attended the Ramsey County League of Local <br />Government Collection Actions Committee meeting last week. She indicated this group would be <br />focusing their efforts on providing energy efficiency items to those living in mobile home <br />communities. <br /> <br />Council Member Smith stated the Festival in the Park Committee would be meeting next on <br />Tuesday, April 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Public Works building. <br /> <br />Council Member Smith invited the public to attend the easter egg hunt, which will be held on <br />Saturday, April 19 at City Hall at 10:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Smith indicated last week she and her daughter received a request from the <br />Ramsey County Sheriff’s training unit to role play with the new deputy academy DUI classes. <br /> <br />Council Member Smith sent her heartfelt condolences to the Mounds View Police Department and <br />to the handler for K9 Niko. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated last Tuesday, April 8 he attended the CPY annual luncheon <br />with City Administrator Zikmund. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom commented he met with an individual who is running for governor. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom explained he attended a clemency hearing on Friday, April 4 as well as attending <br />a town hall event in Litchfield with the Attorney General. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom thanked the Festival in the Park Committee members for all of their efforts on <br />the egg hunt.
