Council Member Clark indicated she would support this item coming back to the City Council for further discussion. Council Member Gunn commented the concern from the public was with how ADU’s could turn into rental units. City Administrator Zikmund explained he could bring this item back to the Council at a future worksession meeting. MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the First Reading and Introduce Ordinance 1042, Amending the Mounds View Zoning Code on Standards Relating to Accessory Dwelling Units. Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 9. REPORTS A. Reports of Mayor and Council. Council Member Gunn reported she would be attending a Police Foundation and Tribute Park meeting on Tuesday, May 13. Council Member Gunn explained on Friday, May 9 she attended a zoom meeting where homelessness was discussed. She expressed concern with the fact there were no warming centers in the community. She supported the City Council speaking with Ramsey County Commissioners regarding this matter in order to get warming centers out in the suburbs. Council Member Smith stated on Thursday, May 15 she will be attending the Cable Commission meeting. Council Member Smith noted she would be serving as a seasonal CSO for Ramsey County. Council Member Smith reiterated that this week is National Police Week and stated she would be attending a ceremony at the capitol on Thursday, May 15. Council Member Clark explained she would be attending the NYFS luncheon on Wednesday, May 14. Council Member Clark reported the Festival in the Park Committee would be meeting next on Tuesday, May 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Public Works Facility. Council Member Meehlhause indicated he would also be attending the NYFS luncheon on Wednesday, May 14.
