Exhibit A <br />MOUNDS VIEW <br />JOB DESCRIPTION <br />Job Title: Recreation Coordinator/Supervisor <br />Grade: 6 <br />Supervisor Title: Parks and Recreation Superintendent <br />Department: Parks and Recreation <br />FLSA Status: Non-exempt <br />Date Reviewed: 02�'�� 06/09/2025 <br />Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience: <br />➢ High School Diploma or GED. <br />➢ Minimum three (3) years of experience coordinating, planning and implementing youth and adult recreational <br />programming. <br />➢ Minimum two (2) years of coordinator experience. <br />➢ One (1) year experience with document imaging (i.e. Laserfiche). <br />Nature of Work: <br />This position provides technical work including planning, organizing, and administering various youth and adult <br />recreational programs. They prepare and maintain appropriate records and related work as apparent or <br />assigned. <br />Communicates with: <br />Internally — All City staff <br />Externally — Vendors and general public <br />Supervision: <br />This position will provide leadership to Parks and Recreation part-time, temporary staff, seasonal Parks and <br />Recreation employees, and volunteers, when assigned. <br />Essential Work Functions (Illustrative Only): <br />• Coordinates, plans, implements and evaluates recreation programs including but not limited to youth sports classes, <br />youth sports leagues, youth enrichment classes, adult recreation leagues, teen center, special events, outdoor ice <br />rinks, summer playground program, summer childcare camp, and adult programs. <br />• Assists with overseeing adult leagues, including marketing, scheduling games, coordinating games, and hiring <br />officials, etc. <br />• Creates, builds, and maintains relationships with partner organization in order to facilitate programs. <br />• Recruits, trains, and maintains relationships with volunteer youth league coaches, including providing training and <br />setting expectations. <br />• Prepares rosters, contact information, facility, and equipment for instructors, staff, and partner organizations. <br />• Recommends and develops recreation programs based on City staff and community desires and needs. <br />• Assists in reviewing and recommending fee structure for recreation programs based on instructor, material, facility, <br />and cost recovery policies. <br />• Continually evaluates all programs and activities to assure they are achieving goals and objectives. <br />• Assists Human Resources with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding and training staff, including ice rink <br />attendants, seasonal referees, seasonal summer program staff, and youth development staff. <br />
