Call to <br />Mayor Linke at 7:02 PM on Monday, February 22, 1988. Order <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was said. 2. Pledge of <br />Allegiance <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Counciimembers Wuori, Quick, Blanchard, 3. Roll Call <br />Hankner and Mayor Links. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Attorney Barney, Clerk/Administrator <br />Pauley and City Planner Herman. <br />Mayor Linke stated that due to technical problems, the <br />Council meeting would not be broadcast this evening. <br />Motion/Second: Wuori/Quick to approve the February 8, 4. Approval of <br />1988 minutes as presented. Minutes: - <br />February 8, <br />4 ayes 0 nays 1 abstain 1988 <br />Motion Carried <br />Councilmember Blanchard abstained from the vote as she <br />had not been present at the February 8 meeting. <br />Mary Bradley, Co -Chairman of the Pinewood Playground 5. Residents <br />project, brought the Council up to date on the fund Requests and <br />raising activities for the playground, and upcoming Comments from- <br />activities, including a spaghetti dinner on February the Floor <br />24and . cotintind day on March 5, beginning at <br />8 AM at Irondale High School. She stated that it they <br />are able to cover the complete gym .floor in pennies, <br />it would amount to approximately $13,000 dollars. She <br />added local merchants have been very supportive, and <br />they have raised $14,000 to date, which along with the <br />$6,000 that was set aside in 1987, will help them to reach <br />their goal. <br />
