RESOLUTION NO 10097 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AUTHORIZING A RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR THE POLICE INTERN POSITION <br /> AND APPROVE THE REVISED JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> WHEREAS, Staff is requesting the City Council authorize approval of the Police <br /> Intern Position, allowing Interns to work at the City for up to 16 weeks; and <br /> WHEREAS, Interns would be compensated at a rate of $18.54 per hour, working <br /> a flexible schedule between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the possibility of <br /> some evening and weekend hours, and amenable to the students college course <br /> schedule; and <br /> WHEREAS, the attached Police Intern revised job description will be posted for <br /> candidates to apply for the position, and staff will fill the positions for the year 2025 as <br /> funding is available. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br /> approves the revised Police Intern job description and authorizes Staff to complete the <br /> following: <br /> • Continue the Police Intern program for 2025 <br /> • Post the position and hire qualified Police Interns as funding is available <br /> • Allow Interns to work 16 consecutive weeks <br /> • Pay Interns $18.54/hour during their Internship <br /> Adopted this 28t" day of April, 2028. <br /> Zach Lindstrom, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br /> The Mounds View Vision <br /> A Thriving Desirable Community <br />
