Students are able to gain valuable work experience, on-the-job training, and have an <br /> opportunity to develop a networking base for future positions within the City of Mounds View. <br /> Communicates with: <br /> Internally—Police staff. <br /> Externally—General public. <br /> Supervision: <br /> None <br /> Essential Work Functions: <br /> Interns must be detail oriented and organized,with the ability to complete projects within timelines and under minimal <br /> supervision. Interns are <br /> expected to follow guidelines required by their college/university regarding journaling their experience during their <br /> internship activities while at Mounds View in order to assist in their coursework evaluation process.The progress and <br /> oversight of the Interns are monitored by the Deputy Chief, or their designee. <br /> • Assist with administrative duties <br /> o Light clerical <br /> o Scanning documents <br /> o Shredding <br /> o Transporting evidence and equipment to BCA <br /> o Placing speed signs and collecting data <br /> o Assist Evidence Technician with audits <br /> • Supporting the Neighborhood Resource Officer (NRO) <br /> o Preparing for and assisting during Night to Unite <br /> o Preparing for and assisting during Festival in the Park <br /> o Attending and assisting during community events <br />
