Mounds View City Council June 9, 2025 <br /> Regular Meeting Page 10 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 Council Member Clark indicated the community wide garage sales were a tremendous success this <br /> 3 past weekend. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Council Member Clark stated the Festival in the Park would meet next on Tuesday, June 17 at <br /> 6 6:30 p.m. and reminded the community that Festival in the Park would be held on Friday, August <br /> 7 15 and Saturday, August 16. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Council Member Clark explained she attended the community engagement committee meeting on <br /> 10 Wednesday, June 4 where the group discussed upcoming summer events. She noted a Juneteenth <br /> 11 event would be held at Silver View Park on Friday, June 20 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Council Member Meehlhause stated on Wednesday, June 11 he would be attending an NYFS <br /> 14 Finance Committee meeting. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Council Member Meehlhause reported on Tuesday, June 17 he would be attending a Twin Cities <br /> 17 Gateway Business meeting. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Council Member Meehlhause thanked Tara Marie Little for organizing the community wide <br /> 20 garage sales. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Mayor Lindstrom stated he had his knee fixed last Tuesday and he was healing nicely and he would <br /> 23 be attending a follow up appointment on Tuesday, June 10. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Mayor Lindstrom commented he would be attending several coffee appointments this week, the <br /> 26 first being with Amy Klobuchar's husband. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Mayor Lindstrom wished everyone a happy Father's Day. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Mayor Lindstrom reported he would be speaking at the prison graduation on Tuesday, June 17. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Mayor Lindstrom wished everyone a happy Juneteenth, which would be held on June 19. He <br /> 33 encouraged all to attend the celebration at Silver View Park on Friday, June 20 from 5:00 p.m. to <br /> 34 8:00 p.m. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Mayor Lindstrom provided an update on the cannabis business that would be coming to the City <br /> 37 of Mounds View and discussed the proposed location. He was of the opinion this business could <br /> 38 be open early August. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 B. Reports of Staff. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 Finance Director Bauman reported she continues to work on the 2026 budget and CIP. She noted <br /> 43 the City has an accountant position open and staff was working to fill this position. She explained <br /> 44 the 2026 budget would be coming before the City Council at a worksession meeting in July. <br /> 45 <br />
