Item No: 8D <br /> Meeting Date: July 14, 2025 <br /> MOUNDS <br /> Vf-EW <br /> Type o Business: CB <br /> Administrator Review: <br /> City of Mounds View Staff Report <br /> To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From: Don Peterson, Director of Public Works/Parks and Recreation <br /> Item Title/Subject: Resolution 10128, Approving a Water Tower Lease with AT&T <br /> Staff has been negotiating with New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC, d/b/a AT&T, agent, <br /> regarding a new lease agreement for placing antennas and equipment on the Mounds <br /> View water tower, for over three years. <br /> This new lease will allow the tenant to use approximately 300 square feet inside the <br /> fenced in area next to the booster station for their equipment cabinets, as well as <br /> locations on the sides of the tower for antennas. The amount of the lease is $36,846.09 <br /> yearly with a 4% annual increase on January 1 of each year. The initial term of the <br /> lease will be for five years with an option to extend it 3 times for an additional five year <br /> renewals. <br /> KLM Engineering is reviewing the plans for antenna and equipment installation. <br /> The City attorney has assisted in developing and reviewing the lease and agrees with <br /> the final lease agreement. <br /> Strategic Plan Strategy/Goal: Maintain and Plan for Infrastructure Improvements. <br /> Financial Impact: No Impact to the 2025 Budget. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Public Works (and Stantec Consulting Services) recommend that the City Council adopt <br /> the attached Resolution approving a New Lease Agreement with New Cingular Wireless <br /> PCS, LLC, d/b/a AT&T, on the Mounds View Water Tower at an yearly lease amount of <br /> $36.846.09 including an annual increase of 4% on January 1 of each year. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Don Peterson <br /> Director of Public Works/Parks and Recreation <br /> The Mounds View Vision <br /> A Thriving Desirable Community <br />
