RESOLUTION 10130 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF AN ADVISORY (SUB) COMMITTEE <br /> FOR THE PARK SYSTEM MASTER PLAN <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has many responsibilities to include efficiently <br /> operating and managing the entire Park system; and <br /> WHEREAS, The City Council Approved Resolution 10129 accepting the 2040 Park <br /> System Master Plan as presented by WSB; and <br /> WHEREAS, at the July 7, 2025 Work Session, Council directed Staff to create a <br /> subcommittee to the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Committee will meet during the evening and assist in potential funding <br /> options on how to implement the Parks System Master Plan and to also assist in raising <br /> awareness for the Park System Master Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, Staff has developed the name for this Committee as GOAL Parks <br /> (GOAL: General Obligation and Levy); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council requested that the committee have (1) representative from <br /> each neighborhood located in the areas of the following parks: <br /> 1) Groveland <br /> 2) Greenfield <br /> 3) Woodcrest <br /> 4) Hillview <br /> 5) Lambert <br /> 6) Silver View <br /> 7) Hodges <br /> 8) City Hall <br /> 9) Oakwood <br /> 10) Ardan <br /> To also include: <br /> • (2) Park and Recreation and Forestry Commission Liaisons - (1) one being <br /> the Chair of the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission. <br /> • (1) City Staff— Director of Public Works/Parks and Recreation. <br /> WHEREAS, Staff recommends the City Council approve the resolution approving the <br /> creation of this Advisory Committee for the Parks Master Plan. <br />
