Mounds View City Council June 23, 2025 <br /> Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> 1 Dennis Farmer, 5117 Irondale, reported the City was putting minimum parking requirements in <br /> 2 place and not maximum requirements. He indicated a developer could always request lower or <br /> 3 higher parking requirements. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Hearing no public input, Mayor Lindstrom closed the public hearing at 6:31 p.m. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Clark. To Waive the Second Reading and Adopt Ordinance <br /> s 1044 Amending Title XV, Chapter 160 of the Mounds View Municipal Code Relating to Off- <br /> 9 Street Parking Requirements. <br /> 10 <br /> 1 1 Mayor Lindstrom thanked the Planning Commission and the consultant firm for their efforts on <br /> 12 this Ordinance. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 ROLL CALL: Clark/Gunn/Meehlhause/Smith/Lindstrom. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Ayes—5 Nays—0 Motion carried. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 B. Resolution 10116,Approving the Strategic Plan. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the Council approve the City's strategic plan. He <br /> 21 explained the Council has been reviewing the plan section by section and the plan was now ready <br /> 22 for Council approval. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Mayor Lindstrom thanked staff for all of their efforts on this document. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10116, <br /> 27 Approving the Strategic Plan. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Ayes—5 Nays—0 Motion carried. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 C. Resolution 10113, Authorizing the Purchase of a 2025 Tymco, 500X <br /> 32 Freightliner Street Sweeper. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Public Works Superintendent Szurek requested the Council authorize the purchase of a 2025 <br /> 35 Tymco, 500X Freightliner Street Sweeper. He reported the City sweeps the streets and roadways <br /> 36 four to eight times per year in order to keep leaves and other nitrates out of waterways. He <br /> 37 commented on three different units that were looked at and noted staff was recommending the <br /> 38 purchase of a Tymco street sweeper. It was noted staff had budgeted $400,000 for this purchase <br /> 39 and the bid price came in at $367,765. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Council Member Meehlhause asked when this piece of equipment would be delivered. Public <br /> 42 Works Superintendent Szurek anticipated the street sweeper would be delivered by January 1, <br /> 43 2026. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 Council Member Meehlhause questioned how long the City has had its current street sweeper. <br /> 46 Public Works Superintendent Szurek reported the City has had its current street sweeper since <br />
