Public <br /> 5 Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson estimated the City has been working on the wetland <br /> 6 banking project for the past two years. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Council Member Smith inquired if this project could only move forward if the four lots were <br /> 9 purchased. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Mayor Lindstrom stated this was the case and recalled that the purchase price for these four lots <br /> 12 was $200,000. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 MOTION/SECOND: Clark/Meehlhause. REPORTS <br /> 21 A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Council Member Meehlhause thanked the Community Engagement Committee for the event that <br /> 24 was sponsored on Friday, June 20. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Council Member Meehlhause provided the Council with an update from the Twin Cities Gateway <br /> 27 Convention and Visitor Bureau. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Council Member Clark reported the Festival in the Park Committee met last week. She reminded <br /> 30 the public that Festival in the Park would be held on August 15 and August 16 and discussed all <br /> 31 of the events that have been planned for this year. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Council Member Clark commented on the Juneteenth event that was held last Friday. She thanked <br /> 34 all of the volunteers that helped to make this event possible. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Council Member Clark indicated she would be attending the League of Minnesota Cities Annual <br /> 37 Conference in Duluth later this week. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Council Member Smith reported the Ramsey County League of Local Government welcomed five <br /> 40 panelists in order to discuss climate impacts. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 Council Member Smith explained she attended the Anoka County Blaine Airport Advisory <br /> 43 Commission meeting last Wednesday where the group discussed how to get youth interested in <br /> 44 aviation. She noted a subcommittee was formed to plan an Open House at the airport and she <br /> 45 would provide the Council with further information on this after the event is planned. <br /> 46 <br />
