NMMA is a collaborative organization made up of <br /> cities and community partners in the northern Twin Cities metro area of Minnesota. <br /> Since its founding in 1987, NMMA's mission has been to advocate for public policy <br /> decisions that benefit member communities and their residents. <br /> Discussion: <br /> All City members of NMMA must sign a JPA. The purpose of the Joint Powers <br /> Agreement (JPA) is to have an organization that functions effectively and efficiently in <br /> the member communities. The City of Crystal would like to join NMMA and therefore, <br /> an amendment to the existing JPA is needed. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Staff recommends approval of Resolution 10123 approving an amendment to the Joint <br /> Powers Agreement with North Metro Mayors Association. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Nyle Zikmund <br /> City Administrator <br />
