The Committee will meet during the evening and assist in potential funding options on how
to implement the Parks System Master Plan and to also assist in raising awareness for the
Park System Master Plan. Currently the plan is to have the Committee meet monthly in the
evening, both day and time yet to be determined. The meeting location will be in the Council
Chambers with meetings being recorded but live broadcasted.
The Council will need to determine if minutes should be required for the meetings and if
required how they will be recorded.
Strategic Plan Strategy/Goal: Maintain and Plan for Infrastructure Improvements.
Financial Impact: No financial Impact to the 2025 Budget.
Recommendation -
Staff recommends the Council approve the implementation of the sub advisory Committee,
GOAL Parks, to assist the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission in establishing
funding sources for the 2040 Parks Master Plan. Council further approves that Staff will
advertise for Committee members via FB, website, newsletter and electronic message board.
Respectfully submitted,
Don Peterson
Director of Public Works / Parks and Recreation
