Resolution 10132,Approving Various Sanitary Sewer Manhole Repairs. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council approve various <br /> 8 sanitary sewer manhole repairs. He explained this was a routine maintenance request. He reported <br /> 9 the City received two separate bids for this work and staff was recommending the Council approve <br /> 10 the Resolution authorizing Innovative High-Performance Coatings to improve the manholes. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10132, <br /> 13 Approving Various Sanitary Sewer Manhole Repairs. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Ayes— 5 Nays—0 Motion carried. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 I. Resolution 10112,Accepting the 2025 Twin Cities Gateway Marketing Grant. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Finance Director Bauman requested the Council accept the 2025 Twin Cities Gateway Marketing <br /> 20 Grant. She explained each year the City receives an annual grant amount from Twin Cities <br /> 21 Gateway that is a percentage of the lodging tax collected from the prior year. She indicated these <br /> 22 grant funds can be used to market and promote events that draw tourists to the community. She <br /> 23 requested direction from the Council on how to split the funds received for 2025. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Council Member Smith recused herself from acting on this item. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Council Member Clark questioned how much funding the City would be receiving in 2025. <br /> 28 Finance Director Bauman reported the City would be receiving $9,945. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Mayor Lindstrom proposed allocating $7,000 of grant funds per year going forward to Festival in <br /> 31 the Park with the remainder being allocated to the Community Center. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Council Member Meehlhause stated he believed this recommendation made sense. He commented <br /> 34 further on the cities that were involved in Twin Cities Gateway. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Council Member Clark anticipated the Festival in the Park could utilize$7,000 per year from these <br /> 37 grant funds. She supported Mayor Lindstrom's proposal and noted the Community Center could <br /> 38 utilize the remainder of the funds to promote the fall festival. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10112, <br /> 41 Accepting the 2025 Twin Cities Gateway Marketing Grant allotting $7,000 to Festival in the Park <br /> 42 and the remainder of the funding going to the Mounds View Community Center. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Mayor Lindstrom thanked the Council for supporting his proposal for this grant funding. <br /> 45 <br /> 46 Ayes—4 Nays—0 Motion carried. <br />
