RESOLUTION 10140 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING AN EMERGENCY WATER INTERCONNECT AGREEMENT WITH THE <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> WHEREAS, the City has the responsibility to efficiently operate the water distribution <br /> system; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has Emergency Water Interconnects with the cities <br /> of Blaine, Spring Lake Park, Fridley and New Brighton; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mounds View supplied water to a portion of Arden Hills in prior years and <br /> with the Rice Creek Commons Development, Mounds View is no longer supplying water for <br /> domestic use; and <br /> WHEREAS, Arden Hills Staff and Mound View Staff agreed that the water lines that <br /> connect the two cities should remain and be used as an emergency water interconnection; and <br /> WHEREAS, a draft agreement was reviewed by the Mounds View City attorney and <br /> expressed no concerns regarding it; and <br /> WHEREAS, Staff recommends the City Council approves the attached resolution for the <br /> Emergency Water Interconnect Agreement with the City of Arden Hills. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br /> Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. Approves the Emergency Water Interconnect between the cities of Arden Hills and <br /> Mounds View. <br /> 2. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br /> appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. <br /> 3.
