Resolution 10138, Approving the Promotion of Asa Overton to the Position of <br />Police Officer. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom congratulated Asa Overton on being promoted to the position of Police Officer. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Lindstrom/Clark. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10138, <br />Approving the Promotion of Asa Overton to the Position of Police Officer. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />6. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />7. PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom encouraged the public to speak with kindness and respect when addressing the <br />City Council during Public Comment. <br /> <br />Murwo Mohamed, 2657 Mounds View Boulevard, requested the City Council consider upgrading <br />the exercise equipment at the Community Center. She explained she has spoken to the City Council <br />about this matter on a number of occasions and asked that action be taken in order to purchase a <br />leg press and a Smith machine. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund explained a Smith machine has been ordered. <br /> <br />8. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />A. PUBLIC HEARING: Second Reading and Approval of Ordinance 1043, <br />Amending the Zoning Code Relating to Public Hearing Processes ROLL <br />CALL VOTE. <br /> <br />Evan Monson, Stantec, requested the Council hold the second hearing and approve Ordinance <br />1043 relating to the public hearing process. He explained public hearings would now be held by <br />the Planning Commission for variances, CUP’s and plats. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund reported staff has not received any comments or concerns regarding <br />this ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom opened the public hearing at 6:06 p.m. <br /> <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Lindstrom closed the public hearing at 6:06 p.m.
