Narcotics Certification <br /> <br />Officer Aase and K9 Ace completed their annual narcotics certification through Tac-21 <br />Red Team K9 on 05/21/2025. <br />The narcotics certification was hosted by the Eagan Police Department, and teams <br />from three agencies were tested. Sgt. Schultes participated as an evaluator for the <br />certification test. <br /> <br />Assist Other Agency – New Brighton Department of Public Safety <br /> <br />On 5/29/25 at 0050 hours, Officer Aase was requested by New Brighton Department of <br />Public Safety for a vehicle sniff at 201 County Road E2. Officer Aase gathered <br />information and later spoke with the suspect. After negotiations, the suspect gave <br />consent for Officer Aase to deploy his K9 partner Ace. Officer Aase deployed K9 Ace <br />on lead. K9 Ace did not show any indication of narcotics present in the vehicle. <br /> <br />Assist Other Agency – New Brighton Department of Public Safety <br /> <br />On 6/2/25 at 2322 hours, Officer Aase was requested by NBPD for a vehicle sniff. <br />Officer Aase arrived on scene and deployed his K9 partner Ace on lead. K9 Ace sniffed <br />the interior of the vehicle and entered the passenger side of the vehicle through an <br />open door. K9 Ace alerted on the center console of the vehicle for the presence of <br />narcotics. The vehicle was searched and nothing of evidential value was located. <br />Through further investigation, the female passenger had a felony drugs warrant and <br />was taken into custody. <br /> <br />Assist Other Agency – Roseville Police Department 1000 block of Larpenteur Ave <br /> <br /> <br />On 6/4/25 at 0204 hours, Officer Aase and K9 Ace assisted Roseville PD with a K9 <br />deployment at 1045 Larpenteur Ave W. Roseville PD received a call about a guy <br />standing outside an apartment complex with a firearm, stating he was going to shoot <br />people. This same male was related to an early domestic incident, in which the suspect <br />was currently wanted for felony threats of violence and domestic assault. <br />Officer Aase attempted an area search with K9 Ace. Officer Aase and K9 Ace searched <br />diligently for approximately 45 minutes with negative results. Phone contact was made <br />with the suspect who had made his way back to the original call location. The suspect <br />had multiple apartments he was associated with. Officers surrounded the apartment <br />building and were unable to pinpoint which apartment the suspect was located in. <br /> <br />Burglary Alarm 2600 block of County Road I <br /> <br />On 6/21/25 at 0155 hours, Officers were dispatched to a burglary alarm at the 2600 <br />block of County Road I. Officers located an open door that did not appear to be forced. <br />Officer Aase deployed his K9 partner Ace and gave him the "find em" command. K9 <br />Ace searched the building off lead and did not alert to any human odor. Officers did a <br />secondary sweep of the building and no suspects were located. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
