Mounds View City Council October 27, 2025 <br /> Regular Meeting Page 8 <br /> 1 Council Member Clark indicated she would be attending a Park, Recreation and Forestry meeting <br /> 2 on Thursday, October 30. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Mayor Lindstrom thanked the parks and rec staff for all of the efforts on the Fall Festival. He noted <br /> 5 this event was very well attended this year. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 Mayor Lindstrom explained he attended the Community Engagement Committee meeting and <br /> 8 noted the group voted to hold the community dinner on December 8 at the Mermaid from 5:00 <br /> 9 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with bowling to follow. He stated the hope was to draw more families to this <br /> 10 event this year. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Mayor Lindstrom commented on the State of the City event and encouraged residents to watch <br /> 13 this event online. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Mayor Lindstrom reported Channel 5 reached out and did an interview regarding the Mermaid <br /> 16 which should air sometime next month. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Mayor Lindstrom noted he had a Zoom call with John Marty today and his biggest takeaway was <br /> 19 that there was a need for more bipartisan efforts going forward. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Mayor Lindstrom indicated he would be attending a pardon town hall in Brainerd on Wednesday, <br /> 22 October 29. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Mayor Lindstrom stated on Thursday, October 30, he would be in Rochester as his mother-in-law <br /> 25 would be receiving a kidney transplant. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Mayor Lindstrom encouraged residents to get out and vote at the upcoming election,which would <br /> 28 be held on Tuesday,November 4. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 C. Reports of Staff. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson stated the pavement was down on Bronson <br /> 33 Drive. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Mayor Lindstrom questioned when the right time would be to discuss a path at Ardan Park. Public <br /> 36 Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson recommended this be looked at next summer or <br /> 37 early fall in 2026. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 City Administrator Zikmund reviewed the order of events for the Veterans Day Ceremony that <br /> 40 will be held on Tuesday, November 11. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 City Administrator Zikmund reported the City received its first cannabis license and this item was <br /> 43 being reviewed by the City Attorney. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 D.
