Mounds View City Council January 5, 2026 <br />Special Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br />Council Member Clark requested a special budget worksession be held on November 30. The <br />Council supported this recommendation. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom questioned when the Council/Park/Recreation/Forestry Commission retreat <br />would be held. Public Works Parks and Recreation Director explained this date would be <br />determined by the Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn suggested this meeting be held on April 23. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom inquired about when the Budget Retreat should be held. City Administrator <br />Zikmund recommended the date for this event be considered later when he has more data for the <br />Council to consider. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom questioned when the City Council would hold a joint meeting with the Charter <br />Commission. City Administrator Zikmund anticipated this meeting date could hold off until the <br />middle of the year, in the event there was a topic that needed to be discussed. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Clark. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10193, <br />Approving the 2026 City Council Meeting Dates with the changes as discussed. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause requested the third whereas statement be amended to read the EDA <br />meetings will be held the same day as City Council meetings, normally after the regular Council <br />meetings on the second and fourth Mondays. The Council supported this friendly amendment. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />6.
