Mounds View City Council January 5, 2026 <br />Special Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he would serve as the liaison to the Planning Commission and <br />Charter Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom requested Council Member Clark serve as the Mounds View Police Foundation <br />liaison. <br /> <br />Council Member Smith indicated she was willing to continue her service on the Airport <br />Commission in 2026. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom reported he would serve as the liaison for Metro Cities with Council Member <br />Gunn serving as the liaison. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Clark. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10192, <br />Appointing City Council Members and City Staff as Representatives for City Commissions and <br />Other Organizations for 2026 as discussed except for Festival in the Park. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom asked who wanted to serve as the liaison to Festival in the Park. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn indicated she would serve as the Festival in the Park liaison. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Clark. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10192, <br />Appointing City Council Members and City Staff as Representatives for City Commissions and <br />Other Organizations for 2026 as discussed appointing Council Member Gunn to the Festival in the <br />Park Committee. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Abstain – 1 (Smith) Motion carried. <br /> <br />C. Resolution 10193, Approving the 2026 City Council Meeting Dates. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve the 2026 City Council meeting dates. <br /> <br />Council Member Clark requested the April 6 Council worksession meeting be moved to March <br />30. She asked that the July 6 worksession meeting be moved to June 29. She suggested the <br />September 8 worksession be moved to August 31. <br /> <br />Council Member Smith reported she would not be able to attend a Council worksession meeting <br />on August 31. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause indicated the September worksession meeting could be held on <br />September 14 after the City Council meeting. <br /> <br />The Council supported this recommendation. <br />
