The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 10202 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO REPLACE THE BOILERS AND WATER HEATER FOR THE <br /> CITY HALL BUILDING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is responsible for the building maintenance at <br />all City facilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it was found that the (3) boilers and water heater require replacement at the <br />City Hall building; and <br /> <br />WHERAS, the boilers are inspected on an annual basis by the State of Minnesota, bi- <br />annually by Trane and weekly by Staff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the (3) boilers and water heater are approximately 35 years old: circa <br />1990’s installation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff received proposal from Trane, an OMNIA* vendor, contract #S3-32- <br />10012-25-003, for the purchase and installation of a new boiler and water heater at the cost of <br />$138,498.00. *OMNIA is similar to state bid pricing but at the national level <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. Accepts the proposal from Trane in the amount of $138.498.00. <br />2. Approves a 4% contingency of $5,539.92. <br />3. To be funded from 480-4180-7050, Special Projects and from 100-4460-5130, HVAC <br />and plumbing repairs. <br /> <br />4. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br />appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. <br /> <br />5.
