Mounds View Special City Council May 5, 2025 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported Mr. Maniak was not the first resident to apply for a chicken - <br />keeping license that had a neighbor who opposed. He wished Mr. Maniak all the best with his <br />chickens. <br />Ayes — 5 Nays 0 Motion carried. <br />D. PUBLIC HEARING: Resolution 10094, Approving a Chicken -Keeping <br />License for Ana Parra, 8478 Long Lake Road. <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council consider a chicken -keeping license for Ana <br />Parra at 8478 Long Lake Road. He explained all necessary paperwork has been submitted to the <br />City and the City had not received any comments from the neighbors. <br />Mayor Lindstrom opened the public hearing at 6:19 p.m. <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Lindstrom closed the public hearing at 6:19 p.m. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Clark/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10094, <br />Approving a Chicken -Keeping License for Ana Parra, 8478 Long Lake Road. <br />Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />E. Resolution 10077, Adoption of the 2025 Ramsey County All -Hazard <br />Mitigation Plan. <br />Police Chief Zender requested the Council adopt the 2025 Ramsey County All -Hazard Mitigation <br />Plan. He reported he has been working closely with SBM Assistant Chief Matt Montain on this <br />matter. He discussed how this plan has been put together by City staff and has been reviewed by <br />Ramsey County, noting this was a federally required document that had to be reviewed and <br />approved every five years. He stated this plan was a 209-page document. He commented further <br />on the type of hazards that were covered within this plan and requested approval from the City <br />Council. <br />SBM Assistant Chief Matt Montain explained the plan addressed the mitigation of impacts to life, <br />property, the economy and environmental hazards. He indicated the document was last updated in <br />2019. He commented on how resiliency was being built into the plan along with an increased effort <br />on community outreach to ensure all demographics in the community were being reached. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Smith.
