The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10219 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING UP TO $1,500 TO JOIN CITIES FOR <br />SAFE AND STABLE COMMUNITIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is committed to serving all residents and visitors <br />with dignity, respect, and fairness, and to fostering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive <br />community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, recent and ongoing immigration operations, i.e. Metro Surge, has impacted <br />many communities across the state; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, our schools are reporting high absenteeism rates, the city’s drive thru food <br />shelf is experiencing robust use with nearly half of the boxes having to be delivered, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, rent assistance requests from Community Support Center, and directly from <br />residents is at a record level; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cities for Safe and Stable Communities was created in response to these <br />and other challenges to focus on a united local voice <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council authorizes <br />up to $1,500 from account 100-4160-3610 to join with other cities via the Cities for Safe <br />and Stable Communities. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 23rd Day of February, 2026. <br /> <br /> <br /> _______________________________ <br /> Zach Lindstrom , Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> _______________________________ <br />Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br />
