Robbery

Investigator Erickson was called to assist in a robbery investigation. A juvenile male
reported that he was biking to school when going through a biking path in the woods he
was robbed by two other males. Inv Erickson interviewed the male and processed the
scene of the alleged robbery, finding inconsistencies with his statement. Investigator
Erickson obtained surveillance footage of the alleged incident and interviewed the victim
again determining that there was no evidence of a robbery that occurred.

Fraud

Investigator Erickson is investigating a case where the complainant’s daughter hacked
into her credit card information and has used thousands of dollars of the complainant’s
bank account money. The case is still under investigation.

Child Pornography

Investigator Erickson received a cyber-tip from the MN BCA regarding possession of
child pornography at the 5400 block of Jackson Drive. The case is still under
investigation.

Missing Person

Investigator Erickson has been investigating a case of an adult male that has been
missing from Mounds View since 1970. Investigator Erickson was contacted by Ontario
Canada with unidentified body remains from an adult male of similar physical
characteristics to our missing person that robbed a bank with a bomb strapped to his
chest. The unidentified robber died during the incident as a result of the bomb
detonating. Investigator Erickson found the missing person’s last surviving sibling and
met with her to obtain her DNA to compare with the unidentified body remains. The
investigation is ongoing.
