2025 INVESTIGATIVE SUMMARY <br />Investigator Solz <br />In 2025, 105 cases were investigated by Investigator Solz. Of those cases, 56 were <br />cleared by arrest, 4 cases are awaiting evidence, and 15 were exceptionally cleared. <br />These cases include: <br />• 36 Traffic <br />• 6 Harassment/HRO/OFP violations <br />• 5 Burglaries <br />• 4 Criminal Sexual Conduct <br />• 18 Assaults <br />• 4 Weapon <br />• 5 Deaths <br />• 3 Missing Persons <br />-Case Highlights- <br />Missing Person <br />Missing elderly male with dementia. Used license plate readers to obtain information on <br />last known location and to get pictures of vehicles. Subject was located safe the next <br />day in North Dakota. <br />Flee/Criminal Vehicular Operation <br />Suspect fled from officers and crashed his vehicle causing a facial fracture to his <br />passenger. Suspect fled on foot and was later arrested. Search warrant was obtained <br />for medical records, and the suspect was charged with fleeing police and criminal <br />vehicular operation. <br />Copper Theft <br />$80,000 worth of damage done to HVAC units at the Mermaid. Suspects were identified <br />after completing search warrants for cell phone tower dumps and identifying suspects <br />who recycled similar HVAC parts at a scrap yard. Charges pending. <br />Assault/Domestic <br />Victim’s child’s father broke in and held victim against her will and assaulted her. <br />Suspect was arrested by patrol officers after ramming squad. Suspect charged with <br />several felonies. <br />Child exploitation <br />15-year-old met an adult male online and went missing for several hours. Victim was <br />found in Eden Prairie near suspect’s home. Several preservation letters were sent to <br />online messaging apps. Mounds View Investigators worked closely with Eden Prairie <br />detectives and the FBI. Suspect was charged federally with criminal sexual conduct and <br />solicitation of a minor.
