POSITION .
REPLACEMENT: Director Saarion shared with the Commission the process for
replacing the position that Sharie Linke held. The position of
Recreation Program Supervisor has been requested with an
emphasis on programming skills. Director Saarion explained that
two persons were unable to do the job of three persons and because
of that, during the interim, programs deemed as having priority will
be worked on while others are delayed for postponed.
ARDAN PARK: Director Saarion reported that Ramsey County Commissioners had
approved the compost facility improvements to begin this early
Summer. Ramsey County will be presenting the plan to City
Council.
HWY 10
CORRIDOR: Director Saarion reported that the Hwy 10 Planning Group
requested input of the Parks and Recreation Commission.
Since the Commission had discussed this many times prior,
Director Saarion submitted a memorandum suggesting that
landscaping, decorative lighting and trailways be included in
the plan as well as passageways leading to Silver View
Park. Commissioner Stevenson is also on this Committee
and is the Parks and Recreation representative, relaying this •
information to both groups.
ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Long made a motion seconded by Commissioner
Gunn to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed unanimously.
•
