APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> 4. GROVELAND PARK PLAYGROUND REPLACEMENT OPTIONS <br /> 5. BUDGET REQUESTS FOR 1998 <br /> * Survey for in put from community regarding preferences of recreation activities at <br /> to be offered at the community center. <br /> * Joint venture with SLP for summer entertainment in the parks at Lakeside Park. <br /> 6. REPORT OF JOINT VENTURE FOR STUDY AND ANALYSIS OF DISTRICT WIDE <br /> ATHLETIC FACILITIES AND FUTURE NEEDS. <br /> 7. PARKS PROJECTS UPDATE: <br /> * Silver View Park picnic shelter alarm system has been installed. <br /> * Work on Greenfield Park pitching mound has been completed. <br /> * Lambert Park backstop chain-link has been replaced with new. <br /> * City Hall youth field backstop has been installed - players protective fencing to be <br /> installed after benches are installed. <br /> *Woodcrest Park community gardens are ready to go!! <br /> 8. RECREATION PROGRAMS UPDATE: <br /> * Festival Committee continues to plan the activities for Sunday, July 13. <br /> * Lion's Club continues to plan the parade <br /> * Businesses are participating in organization of the Festival Golf Tournament <br /> * Mermaid will be sponsoring the Street Dance on Saturday, July 12. <br /> *Adult softball and youth softball/baseball are underway. <br /> * Spring programs are winding up. <br /> * Summer program registrations have begun. <br /> * Intern Mike Schnur begins Tuesday, May 27 as well as other seasonal Parks Workers. <br /> * MVCT auditions concluded and cast has been selected. <br /> • * Garden Club begins planting June 7 <br /> * Bel Rae activities continue with short term events - 2 weddings parties this month. <br />
