1 3. Assists with some portion of the marketing, promotions, and public <br /> • relations functions. One to two assignments will be made in one of <br /> the following areas: program brochure preparation, public relations <br /> writing, public rearing preparations, or forecasting future <br /> participation rates or market share. <br /> 14. Writes two or three investigative and/or evaluation reports. <br /> Possible reports include activity or special program evaluation, <br /> survey data analysis report, inventory review, budgetary review, <br /> policies manual update, documentation of daily activity events, <br /> and/or weekly departmental review reports. <br /> 15. Uses accepted managerial communication skills to listen and convey <br /> messages to customers, supervisors, subordinates and peers. <br /> 16. Assumes responsibility for one major project which will enhance <br /> the business/ agency's services to the customers. The project also <br /> fulfills the university's requirement of r completion of a major <br /> project and submission of a 15 page formal report on the major <br /> project. Project outline is prepared outlining objectives of the <br /> • project, tasks to be completed and projected completion dates of <br /> each task. Project outline is submitted to site supervisor and <br /> university faculty supervisor for approval. Progress reports are <br /> submitted three time at specified dates during the internship. <br /> Possible projects include special event preparations, investigative <br /> research project, promotional plan, market survey work, risk <br /> management plan, or personnel operations manual. <br /> 17. Assumes responsibility for other minor projects which consume <br /> small blocks of time and allow for other hands-on learning <br /> experiences. <br /> 18. Submits bi-weekly reports to site supervisor and faculty supervisor. <br /> Each report highlights the personal and professional significant <br /> events that occurred during the reporting period. <br /> 19. Meets at least once a week with supervisor and other relevant staff <br /> to evaluate progress, review next week's assignments and allow to <br /> mentoring process to occur between intern and supervisor. Also, <br /> meets with supervisor to review the mid-term and final evaluations. <br />
