He and Pam <br /> visited with the Parks and Recreation Commission last evening and the <br /> Parks and Recreation Commission requested additional information <br /> including: <br /> 1. The amount of park dedication fees the project would generate. <br /> 2. Cost of a sidewalk along Silver Lake Road <br /> 3. If the St. Paul Water Dept would allow a pathway along their water <br /> pipe easement. <br /> 4. What the schedule is for Silver Lake Road street improvements at <br /> that section. <br /> 5. What the schedule is for Red Oak Dr street improvements on the <br /> other side. <br /> The Commission is in a quandry whether or not the sidewalk is a parks <br /> benefit or more of a transportation/economic development benefit <br /> since the section of sidewalk would not link parks but would serve <br /> the shops and link the Sr. buildings. If Silver Lake Road <br /> improvements do not include a bikeway, there is a gap between which <br /> means the walkway would not serve a linkage for bikeways system. <br /> The Commission must decide the best benefit to the parks whether it <br /> be contribution to the sidewalks for the shops or for other capital <br /> needs that are on the L1TY - which are dependant upon funding with Park Dedication <br /> Fees. <br /> I have set the meeting with Mike Black for Monday, July 28 at 2:30 <br /> p.m. here at City Hall. If this does not fit into your schedule <br /> please call and reschedule. <br />
