PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> 6 <br /> 7 Mayor Lindstrom encouraged the public to speak with kindness and respect when addressing the <br /> 8 City Council during Public Comment. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Vince Meyer, 8380 Spring Lake Road,discussed the Spring Lake Road street project.He requested <br /> 11 the City visit his property because his driveway wing was damaged during installation. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Murwo Mohamed, 2651 Silver Lake Common,Apartment#203, explained for years she had been <br /> 14 advocating for additional metro public seats. She noted 804 and 25 were running nicely through <br /> 15 the community. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Sharon Kirscher, 8406 Red Oak Drive, asked where the packet was posted prior to City Council <br /> 18 meetings. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Mayor Lindstrom reported residents can Google "Mounds View City Council Meeting" and the <br /> 21 first thing that will come up will be Mounds View City Council Meeting. He encouraged residents <br /> 22 to click on this link and all agendas and meetings for the City Council are listed on this page of the <br /> 23 City's website. He indicated this was the same search he did each week to pull up the agenda and <br /> 24 meeting packet. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 8. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> 27 A. PUBLIC HEARING: Consideration of Resolution 10226, Approval of a <br /> 28 Chicken-keeping License for Christian Johnson, 5200 Edgewood Drive. <br /> 29 <br /> 3o Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the Council consider a chicken keeping license <br /> 31 for Christian Johnson at 5200 Edgewood Drive. He reported the applicant is proposing to keep <br /> 32 eight (8) chickens and has provided staff with all the necessary paperwork. It was noted staff <br /> 33 received one opposition to this request. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Mayor Lindstrom opened the public hearing at 6:09 p.m. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Christian Johnson, 5200 Edgewood Drive, explained he would like to start with eight chickens. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Mayor Lindstrom stated his experience has been that sometimes the City receives feedback <br /> 40 regarding concerns,but in the end the chickens were a hit in the neighborhoods. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 Ala Johnson, 5200 Edgewood Drive,indicated she has wanted chickens on her property for several <br /> 43 years, but the biggest obstacle has been where to place the chicken coop due to the nature of her <br /> 44 lot. She commented on how a coop location has now been worked out with City staff and she was <br /> 45 looking forward to being able to keep chickens. <br /> 46 <br />
